VALIDATION_STATE_GATE

Production run permit: the loaded recipe must be the released version, the equipment qualified, the system in its released state and the qualification in date.

Validated application blockLS · ComplianceIEC 61131-3IEC 61499v1.0.0

When to use it

Use VALIDATION_STATE_GATE when a piece of GxP equipment must not make product unless its qualification is current, the control system is in its released state, and the method loaded is the version the quality unit approved — with a controlled way to run qualification and engineering batches that is impossible to mistake for production.

Supervised control write

VALIDATION_STATE_GATE commands a real actuator. It is written to sit underneath your own interlock, permissive and protection logic — not to replace it. Commission it as you would any control block you wrote yourself.
