SIP_7SA_DIST

SIPROTEC-shaped three-zone distance characteristic (ANSI 21): per-loop apparent-impedance measurement, an under-reaching instantaneous zone with two timed backup zones, and a POTT permissive-overreach channel.

Validated application blockPSUB·SiemensIEC 61131-3IEC 61499v1.0.0

When to use it

Use SIP_7SA_DIST when a transmission or sub-transmission feeder's distance zones have to be modelled in the PLC — as a zone-reach and grading study, as the protection model inside a network simulation or digital twin, as supervision beside the relay of record, or as the logic around a POTT teleprotection channel.

Supervised control write

SIP_7SA_DIST commands a real actuator. It is written to sit underneath your own interlock, permissive and protection logic — not to replace it. Commission it as you would any control block you wrote yourself.
