SIP_50BF_CBF

SIPROTEC-shaped breaker-failure protection (ANSI 50BF): a current-based failure criterion with an optional 52a contact criterion, a two-stage timer giving re-trip then bus strip, and a sealed-in bus trip.

Validated application blockPSUB·SiemensIEC 61131-3IEC 61499v1.0.0

When to use it

Use SIP_50BF_CBF when a breaker's trip has to be proved, and the surrounding breakers tripped if it is not — a busbar-connected feeder, a transformer or generator breaker, any circuit where a failed breaker leaves a fault fed from the bus.
