PROT_27_59

ANSI 27/59 under and over-voltage with definite time, dropout hysteresis and an under-voltage block on a dead bus.

Validated application blockGen · ProtectionIEC 61131-3IEC 61499v1.0.0

When to use it

Use PROT_27_59 when a generator, interconnection or busbar needs a voltage-excursion element for annunciation, load management, islanding or a supervisory trip, with a definite-time delay that rides through momentary sags and swells.

Supervised control write

PROT_27_59 commands a real actuator. It is written to sit underneath your own interlock, permissive and protection logic — not to replace it. Commission it as you would any control block you wrote yourself.
