MERGE_DIVERT

Divert / transfer-out by destination lane, holding the infeed rather than mis-routing into a lane that is not proven clear.

Validated application blockMHE · Conveyor & SortationIEC 61131-3IEC 61499v1.0.0

When to use it

Use MERGE_DIVERT when one conveyor line splits to several take-away lanes through a single powered transfer — a pop-up transfer, a pusher, a shoe divert or a right-angle transfer — and each item carries a destination lane number. This is a DIVERT point: it arbitrates one infeed against several lanes, and it has no ports with which to arbitrate several infeeds against one outfeed (see notes).

Supervised control write

MERGE_DIVERT commands a real actuator. It is written to sit underneath your own interlock, permissive and protection logic — not to replace it. Commission it as you would any control block you wrote yourself.
