HOIST_CTRL

Hoist speed and brake sequencing with slack-rope, snatch-load, travel-limit and lift-inhibit supervision.

Validated application blockMHE · Crane & HoistIEC 61131-3IEC 61499v1.0.0

When to use it

Use HOIST_CTRL when a crane hoist is driven by a variable-speed drive with a holding brake, and the brake sequence, the slack-rope condition and the shock of a snatched pick have to be handled by the PLC.

Supervised control write

HOIST_CTRL commands a real actuator. It is written to sit underneath your own interlock, permissive and protection logic — not to replace it. Commission it as you would any control block you wrote yourself.
