H2_MONITOR

Battery-room hydrogen monitor: continuous and on-demand exhaust ventilation, purge run-on, proven fan, and a latched charger trip.

Validated application blockDCIM · EnvironmentIEC 61131-3IEC 61499v1.0.0

When to use it

Use H2_MONITOR when a vented lead-acid or NiCd battery room supports the UPS, hydrogen evolved on charge has to be kept well below its lower explosive limit by ventilation, and the charging source has to be removed if ventilation cannot do that.

Supervised control write

H2_MONITOR commands a real actuator. It is written to sit underneath your own interlock, permissive and protection logic — not to replace it. Commission it as you would any control block you wrote yourself.
