FOAM_CTRL

Antifoam dosing on a foam probe — debounced, pulsed, locked out between doses, and capped cumulatively.

Validated application blockLS · BioreactorIEC 61131-3IEC 61499v1.0.0

When to use it

Use FOAM_CTRL when a conductivity or capacitance foam probe in the headspace of a bioreactor triggers an antifoam pump, and the total antifoam delivered over the batch has to be capped because antifoam is a process contaminant as well as a remedy.
