DCW_SIDESTREAM_FILTER

Side-stream / basin-sweeper filter supervision with a three-criterion backwash request and header lockout.

Validated application blockDC-WTP · Filtration & SofteningIEC 61131-3IEC 61499v1.1.0

When to use it

Use DCW_SIDESTREAM_FILTER when a cooling-tower basin is kept swept by a side-stream sand, multimedia or screen filter that has to be backwashed periodically, and the wash has to be requested rather than started — because several filters share one backwash header.

Supervised control write

DCW_SIDESTREAM_FILTER commands a real actuator. It is written to sit underneath your own interlock, permissive and protection logic — not to replace it. Commission it as you would any control block you wrote yourself.
