CRANE_OVERLOAD_PROT

Overload and load-moment supervision with a weigh delay, hysteresis and a latched raise inhibit that still permits lowering.

Validated application blockMHE · Crane & HoistIEC 61131-3IEC 61499v1.0.0

When to use it

Use CRANE_OVERLOAD_PROT when a crane has a load measurement — load cell, load pin or drive torque estimate — and the control system has to refuse a lift that exceeds the rated capacity, or the rated moment where capacity varies with geometry.

Supervised control write

CRANE_OVERLOAD_PROT commands a real actuator. It is written to sit underneath your own interlock, permissive and protection logic — not to replace it. Commission it as you would any control block you wrote yourself.
