CHW_PLANT_CTRL

Chilled-water distribution on delta-T, with a minimum-flow bypass and a latched low-delta-T alarm.

Validated application blockBAS · Central PlantIEC 61131-3IEC 61499v1.0.0

When to use it

Use CHW_PLANT_CTRL when a variable-flow chilled-water plant is being over-pumped — the loop returns water almost as cold as it went out — and the distribution pumps should be trimmed to restore design delta-T rather than to hold a differential pressure.
