CHANGE_REASON_GATE

Reason-for-change gate: a coded reason (and free text where the code demands it) captured and stored BEFORE the GxP parameter write is permitted.

Validated application blockLS · ComplianceIEC 61131-3IEC 61499v1.0.0

When to use it

Use CHANGE_REASON_GATE when a GxP parameter — an alarm limit, a set point, a recipe value, a calibration coefficient — can be edited from the control system, and site procedure requires the reason for the change to be captured before the value moves.
