CELL_DENSITY_EST

Viable-cell-density soft sensor from a capacitance probe, cross-checked against respiration, with a logarithmic growth rate.

Validated application blockLS · BioreactorIEC 61131-3IEC 61499v1.0.0

When to use it

Use CELL_DENSITY_EST when a capacitance (dielectric) probe is fitted in a bioreactor and viable cell density is wanted continuously between off-line counts, with a second, independent estimate available from the off-gas oxygen uptake.
