BATTERY_MON

Starting-battery and charger supervision with a crank volt-drop test, crank-inhibited low-voltage alarm and latched charger failure.

Validated application blockGen · EngineIEC 61131-3IEC 61499v1.1.0

When to use it

Use BATTERY_MON when a generator set's starting battery and its float charger have to be supervised between runs — the NFPA 110 battery-charger-failure and low-battery-voltage alarms — and a weak battery must be caught by the volt drop it shows under crank rather than by a failure to start.
