BACKFLOW_MON

Cross-connection and backflow monitor: differential across the assembly, low-differential warning, confirmed reverse-flow isolation and event recording.

Validated application blockW/WW · Quality & ComplianceIEC 61131-3IEC 61499v1.0.0

When to use it

Use BACKFLOW_MON when a potable supply crosses into process water — a wash-water, chemical make-up, tanker-fill or plant-service connection — through a backflow-prevention assembly whose upstream and downstream pressures are both instrumented.

Supervised control write

BACKFLOW_MON commands a real actuator. It is written to sit underneath your own interlock, permissive and protection logic — not to replace it. Commission it as you would any control block you wrote yourself.
